In this videos, I’ll show you how to create a mobile clip or phone bracket for almost any gamepad or controller using just two readily available accessories. This isn’t a full DIY tutorial in the sense that you’ll need to purchase the items, but it’s a simple and effective solution.
Here’s the setup for one of the mobile clips using the Cosmic Byte Strata Xenon Gamepad. Since there aren’t any dedicated mobile clips for this gamepad, I created my own.
What you’ll need:

Three Ways to Use the Phone Holder:
How to Assemble the Mobile Clip:
You’ll likely only need two zip ties, but you can use more if desired.
Finished Product:
All buttons on the front and back of the gamepad remain accessible. The turbo button (below the home button) is slightly less visible but still easily pressed. The zip ties securely hold the bracket in place. My phone weighs about 281g with the case, and the holder supports it without any issues.
Limitations:
The only limitation with this setup is that the gamepad’s charging port (located at the rear) is blocked. This may not be an issue for all controllers. However, zip ties are inexpensive and easily replaceable, which is why I bought a 100-pack.
Final Thoughts:
This DIY mobile clip is a fantastic and affordable solution. I’ll continue using this setup until I find a permanent solution. Let me know what you think in the comments!
